Lahore: At least 10 people were killed and as many as 30 injured when a large bomb exploded outside the Punjab Assembly in Lahore during a protest rally on Monday, police officials said.

Local police official Ali Raza says Monday's blast occurred when a man on a motorcycle rammed into the crowd of hundreds of pharmacists, who were protesting new amendments to a law governing drug sales.
A Taliban faction has claimed the attack.
Law enforcement personnel are among the dead and the number could further rise, local media reported.
DIG Traffic Lahore Capt (retd) Ahmad Mobin was also among those killed in the attack.
Mobin was negotiating with the protesters to end the strike and clear the area when the blast occurred.
