Islamabad: Pakistan today summoned Afghanistan embassy officials to lodge its protest against allowing terrorists to use their soil to carry out attacks in the neighbouring country.

The officials were summoned at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi where officials were handed down a list of 76 wanted terrorists to be handed over to Islamabad.

“Afghanistan embassy officials called in GHQ. Given list of 76 Ts hiding in Afghanistan. Asked to take immediate action/be handed over to Pakistan,” tweeted military’s media wing DG ISPR Major-General Asif Ghafoor.

The move comes a day after a suicide terror attack in Sindh province at shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan, killing more than 70 people.

Meanwhile, Pakistani authorities have sealed the Torkham border crossing with Afghanistan for an indefinite period.

According to reports, the border crossing has been sealed for all kinds of trade and commercial activities due to security concerns, Pakistani news website Dawn reported.

The military also confirmed the development in a tweet, "Pakistan-Afghanistan border closed with immediate effect till further notice."

Police said that a suicide bomber entered the Lal Shehbaz Qalandar shrine in Sehwan town of Sindh through its Golden Gate. The attacker blew himself up after throwing a grenade, which failed to explode. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
