Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi's comments came in the wake of the recent attack on a CRPF bus in Kashmir’s Pulwama district. At least 40 soldiers were killed in the attack, which was carried out by Jaish-e-Mohammad. Backing Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, Afridi said that his country wants to have good relationship with the neighbours.

Shahid Afridi - "Without any proof they are putting all the blame onto Pakistan straight away. PM Imran Khan has once again spoken on this matter in a positive & clear way to explain that Pakistan wants to have good relations with not only India, but also Afghanistan, Iran & China"

"Without any proof they are putting all the blame onto Pakistan straight away. PM Imran Khan has once again spoken on this matter in a positive & clear way to explain that Pakistan wants to have good relations with not only India, but also Afghanistan, Iran & China”, Afridi was quoted as saying by a Pakistan journalist Saj Sadiq.

Shahid Afridi - “You find out who your friends are at difficult times. What are they trying to show the world that they are educated? Educated people don't behave in such a manner.”

The former all-rounder also expressed his views on IMG-Reliance’s decision to pull out as producers of the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2019 (PSL 2019). Afridi said, “you find out who your friends are at difficult times. What are they trying to show the world that they are educated? Educated people don't behave in such a manner.”

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was left with a task to find out new producers for the league after the Indian based company pulled out. Apart from them, Dsport also decide to stop the telecast of PSL 2019 in India. Popular cricket website also decided to suspend the PSL on their platform following the attack in Pulwama.
