Patna, Bihar, India: A 24-year-old pregnant woman was allegedly gangraped in Bihar’s Patna and left unconscious on a railway track near Patna Junction. A case has been registered against three accused and two of them, Vishal and Ankit, have been arrested so far, according to a News18 report.
On Saturday night, the woman went out for a walk near her house when two youths from the area began to misbehave with her. They covered her mouth and took her to a nearby field. The two men called another person and the three allegedly raped her one by one.
When she resisted, they purportedly physically assaulted her. They left her on a railway track in an unconscious state and escaped.
When the woman regained her consciousness, she let out a noise, thereby alerting the government railway police (GRP) who reached the spot. The victim was then brought to the women’s police station, as per station head Kishori Sahchari.
The woman has undergone a medical examination and her statement has been recorded by the police. Her statement will be recorded in court on Monday.
At present, the police are searching for the third accused and further investigation is underway.
