Seoul: Four fresh cases of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in South Korea, raising the total to 179, health ministry officials said on Wednesday.

No deaths have been reported for two straight days, leaving the toll at 27, according to Xinhua news agency.

At least 13 more patients were discharged from hospitals as they completely recovered from the infection, raising the total of those discharged to 67, while 85 MERS patients are still being treated.
