Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha, with the support of Karnataka government's Kannada and cultural department, would be hosting 15th Vishwa Kannada Cultural Convention on February 22 and 23. The event is being held between 10.30 am and 4 pm at Abu Dhabi Indian School, Abu Dhabi.
UAE Kannadigas patron, Dr B R Shetty, will preside over the inaugural. Inaugural programme is scheduled at 10.30 am on February 22. Valedictory programme will be held at 3 pm on Friday February 23.
The convention will be chaired by Vasundhara Bhupathi, chairperson of Kannada Books Authority. Dance performances by Pushkara Centre for Performing Arts Trust Bengaluru and Natya Bharathi Trust Bengaluru will be presented.
A number of programmes have been lined up as part of the above programme. A book, 'Buddhana Naadu Bhutan' is scheduled be released at the poets conference which will be chaired by Dr Ashsok Narode. Mukhyamantri Chandru will come up with an address which will be full of wit and humour.
The organizers have extended invitation to all the Kannadigas to attend the programme.
