mmobeys maplestory 2 mesos-Global MapleStory 2 has been confirmed to have a world-wide release by Nexon since 2015 and rumors of its upcoming release since then. Recently, there have been numerous leaks of voice samples and game assets in English dug up from the files of existing versions of the game. Here is my video discussing the leaked assets of GMS2 revealed by a handful of MapleStory 2 community members, the possibility of it coming soon and Eastern developers choosing the global self-publish route instead of North American publishers for localization of their games. Currently, there are two playable versions of MapleStory 2; the Korean version and the Chinese version.
Keep in mind that these leaks are unconfirmed at this time. There has not been any official statement from Nexon or NSquare that a global release is coming soon. It may be a long shot since the Chinese version only recently came out on September 2017, but perhaps we may see an announcement for GMS2 in the near future. The original MapleStory game was vastly popular all around the globe, so surely a large audience will be present for Nexon to make a nostalgia pitch to.
