Islamabad: Pakistan today summoned Indian envoy to Foreign Office here claiming violation of its territory by an alleged Indian "spy" drone which was being used for aerial photography near the Line of Control (LoC).

Indian High Commissioner TCA Raghavan was called to the Foreign Office today, an official of Indian mission said.

Pakistan Army yesterday claimed that the Indian drone was being used for aerial photography near the LoC in Bhimber area of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and was "brought down for violation of Pakistan's territorial integrity".

The Indian Army as well as the Indian Air Force, however, have denied that any of their drone has been shot down or crashed.

A spokesperson of the Indian Army said: "Some reports of a drone crash in PoK are being referred to. No drone or UAV crash of the Indian Army has taken place."

An IAF spokesperson also denied that any of their drone has been brought down.

The alleged shooting down of the drone occurred nearly a week after the ice-breaking meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in Ufa, Russia.
