Oppo India is all set to launch new Oppo K1 smartphone in India on February 6, 2019. Already on sale in China, the smartphone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 25MP selfie camera. The launch date of the smartphone has been confirmed via Flipkart, as a dedicated microsite was introduced after the teaser was officially released. Likely to be priced from Rs 17,000 onwards, the smartphone will be equipped with Snapdragon 660 SoC, 6GB of RAM and much more. The company will be launching the new smartphone at 12 PM IST on February 6, 2019. The smartphone will be retailed online exclusively via Flipkart.
On the specification front, the new Oppo K1 smartphone will sport a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with resolution of 2340X1080 pixels and 19.5:9 of aspect ratio. The phone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo based on ColorOS 5.2. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset, which will be clocked up to 2.2GHz. This SoC from Qualcomm will also be coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. Moreover, the internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
For photography, the new Oppo K1 smartphone will be packed with dual camera module at the rear comprising a 16MP primary shooter and a 2MP secondary snapper with LED flash. At the front, there will be a 25MP sensor for video calling and selfies. Moreover, the connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi i 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and GLONASS. The smartphone will also feature in-display fingerprint sensor, 3D glass back and a 3,600mAh battery.
As far as the prices are concerned, the company will be announcing the same at the launch event itself. However, the India prices of the smartphone are likely to be in-line with the China prices that starts from CNY 1599 (around Rs 16,900) for the base 4GB variant. On the other hand, the 6GB RAM model is priced at CNY 1799 (around Rs 19000). The company is expected to offer the smartphone in two exciting shades - Mocha Red and Van Gogh Blue.
